Special Subject: History

Introduces students to the culture and material science of the Donetsk Region of Ukraine with particular attention to questions of re-use and sustainability. Surveys materials and the local ecology to design strategies for reusing available materials from destroyed, damaged, and abandoned buildings since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
